With the federal election campaign underway, and increasing housing supply a policy priority for all parties, NAIOP Chapters in Vancouver, Calgary, Edmonton, and Toronto have prepared a set of policy recommendations to help address the current housing shortage.

The recommendations include:

– Expanding government financing support
– Reducing taxes and fees on new housing
– Unlocking private capital and de-risking investment
– Improving the regulatory environment for financing
– Supporting office conversions
