The NAIOP Edmonton Developing Leaders (DL) aim to provide opportunities for Edmonton commercial real estate professionals age 35 and under. Our corporate Partners receive benefits for their employees, including exclusive access to educational programming, professional development opportunities, and select DL events (including our Mentorship Program).

The NAIOP Edmonton Developing Leaders program is steered by a Committee of dynamic professionals who share a common goal of creating member opportunities that align with three pillars:

1. Creating and Fostering Connections: The Committee is dedicated to creating and fostering connections within the commercial real estate industry. We believe that strong professional networks are the backbone of successful careers and thriving businesses. This is achieved through the planning and facilitation of social and networking events throughout the calendar year that target our intended audience, while encouraging attendance from any CRE professionals.

2. Providing Education Opportunities: The Developing Leaders prioritize the professional growth of their members through a variety of educational opportunities, while leveraging and advocating for the existing educational opportunities available through NAIOP Edmonton. We aim to equip our members with the knowledge and skills necessary to excel in the competitive commercial real estate market. This is achieved through education focused events, seminars, and facilitated discussions with industry professionals.

3. Facilitating Meaningful Mentorship Programs: The Committee understands the importance of mentorship in professional development. We strive to facilitate meaningful mentorship programs that benefit both mentors and mentees. This is achieved by providing programs that connect our members with C-suite professionals in various positions and sectors in the industry, along with offering a secondary program that connects our DL members (as mentors) with university students.
