Kayla is in her fourth year at the UBC Sauder School of Business, specializing in real estate and accounting, with a minor in environmental science. Growing up in Vancouver, she developed a strong love for the outdoors and a passion for creating community spaces. She is currently involved with organizations such as the UBC Centre for Student Development and Leadership, Ocean Wise, and the UBC Urban Planning Club. As a result, Kayla is focused on building a career in real estate development that advances sustainability and creates a lasting positive impact.

Through a previous internship, Kayla built a strong foundation in development policy, and her team recently placed second in the 2025 Cornell International Real Estate Case Competition. She is deeply grateful to the mentors and supporters at UBC, CREW Network, and Williams Management who have helped shape her learning, and she is excited to participate in NAIOP, where she looks forward to deepening her understanding of development and gaining valuable, hands-on training through this once-in-a-lifetime experience
