Arven is very excited to be participating in the NAIOP Real Estate Challenge this year alongside his UBC Sauder teammates, who bring a diverse range of perspectives and experiences. With practical experience in real estate finance and land acquisition, combined with a strong academic foundation, he is eager to deepen his understanding of the development process while applying his knowledge in a hands-on setting. Arven is particularly interested in the financial and market analysis aspects of the competition and
looks forward to gaining further insight into the dynamics of the Edmonton market. He values
the learning opportunities this experience will provide, as well as the meaningful connections
he hopes to build with his teammates and mentors.

Beyond academics, Arven is currently completing an internship with RBC’s Commercial Real Estate team, where he is continuing to strengthen his real estate finance skill set. He is also an active member of the UBC Real Estate Club and serves as Vice President of Research for the UBC Vancouver Housing Market Club. In his free time, Arven enjoys playing soccer and spending time with family and friends. He is very grateful to NAIOP for creating
opportunities such as this case competition and looks forward to further expanding his knowledge and understanding of the real estate industry through this experience.
